PRE-ACADEMY 7-8 Yrs Old

The Rush Pre-Academy program is designed to help players build on the foundation they gained in Mighty Mites. They will continue to learn the fundamentals of movement, basic techniques, and are given their first introduction to soccer as a team game.  NEW FOR THE SPRING, players will have an opportunity to apply these techniques by participating in games through the La Crosse Parks and Rec league.   Following the Rush Player Development Model, the Pre-Academy Coaching Staff will meet players where they are in their development and work to instill a love for the game of soccer that will last into their teenage years and beyond.

For players who decide to move on to our Competitive Academy, this program will be an important foundation in learning the Rush Way and gaining skills that will be important at the next level. For those who are new to soccer or may not choose to play soccer in the future, this program will be beneficial for learning coordination, confidence, and cooperation with others!

Players should wear cleats and shin guards.  Please reach out if you need help with those items.   Bring water and a size 4 soccer ball.
