THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING RUSH WISCONSIN WEST FOR YOUR COMPETITIVE SOCCER EXPERIENCE
Birth year information
For the 2024-2025 season, our competitive teams are formed by birth year for players born between 2014-2006. Birth year registration is determined by the year a soccer season ends. An age group can be determined by subtracting the birth year from the year the season ends.
Year Season Ends – Birth Year = Age Group
2024 – 2006 = U18 (example only - not all age groups listed)

What happens in high school?
We want to make it clear that when your player reaches High School, his/her Rush Career is NOT over! The high school age is still a crucial time for development in a player. We encourage players to play for their high school teams as it is supplemental for club soccer! We also recognize that it is difficult to continue development in the high school soccer setting as teams are constantly chasing results and games thus resulting in little training as training is mostly used for recovery between games. So, what does this mean? During their Rush season, players will still play in either the MAYSA or State League in addition to 2 tournaments.
Boys (Wisconsin and Minnesota Residents) - When your player is in 8th grade, they will finish through June of the spring season with Rush. They will attend Rush tryouts in June for their 2025 Spring Rush season. They play their High School soccer season from Mid Aug-Mid Nov 2024. They can then choose to participate in our winter training program once high school finishes. If they play another winter high school sport, they do not have to do winter training, but we strongly encourage it. Their Rush season will begin in March 2025 through June 2025. The cycle will repeat, starting with tryouts again in June 2025 for their 2026 Spring season.
